There are 299 Bob Thornton's listed in the US. Without an initial or possible location, there is nothing more to go on. Sorry.

ah yup, you are correct.
I know he moved to Nashville, got married and divorced again. Saw him once but lost track of him again.

Hey guys,
Could his middle name have been Eugene? and was he on the Madison in 1966? If so, I may have found him.

The time frame is right.... so it must be him.
Where's he 'at'?

Finding Bob

I had found one in Nashville, but he's too young. I have two in Memphis, two in Knoxville, one in Henning, one in Brownsville, one in Lawrenceburg, one in Jackson and two in towns that don't even show on the map of TN. The two with the middle initial "E" are both in Memphis.
I can start making phone calls and try to find the right one. Outside of TN, I found 7 in other states with initial "E". Hope to have more for you soon.

Please, this is not a life and death situation.
It would be nice to see and talk with him again but, try not to make it your life's mission.
I thought you had nailed it down, first out of the gate.
Thank you for your efforts,
Dan

Does the expression "like a bulldog on a bone" mean anything to you??
Charline's tenacity at tracking some of these amazes me.

Gosh, guess if that's her hobby, it's far better than having horses. My second EXwife bought two horses when we were married. Based upon my experience, horses do two things well, eat and shit. AND they see the doctor more often than I do.

Okay, you guys quite picking on me.
I've made a bunch of phone calls, but got several machines that I left messages on. One that was wrong tried to help me - was Bob a policeman after the Navy? If so, may have found him. If I don't find hime soon, I will give up.

We were not "picking". We are in awe and very, very appreciative!

Keith,
Thank you for the compliment. This is just something that I feel "passionate" about. I enjoyed being a Navy wife and the friendships that were formed back then. Plus, I know you're not really picking on me.

No, he was never a policeman.....that I know of.
He worked for a company, in or near Nashville, that built semis or perhaps semi trialers?
As I recall... his mother lived in Calif. I doubt if she is alive....
Last time I saw him was in the 70s. He came to visit me in Atlanta.
