I was passing through Newport News on Sunday and decided to swing by and see what was still there and what had changed.
"Jeff-sons" is now Eddie's Restaurant and is the only building along that block. Remember how there used to be all those houses as you walked up the hill? The next thing toward the river is the shipyard gate now. I took a couple of pics and will try to get them posted soon.

Ahh, Jeff-Sons' pitcher of beer and a spicey sausage dog for breakfast after midwatch hydrostatic tests. And pinball with Don Lowery, and anyone else who felt decent enough to show up.
