Yea, I know about the earlier event, what I want to know is does anyone remember this. I think we had to delay a return to port (late 82-early 83) because we couldn't get the hatch open to send line handlers topside. Evidently one of my shipmates bumped the handwheel during field day, saw it was loose and dogged it at patrol depth. Had to go out, submerge and loosen it. Or have the 20 odd years clouded the brain pan?

If you aren't part of the problem, there is good money to be made in prolonging the solution.
