Retired Master Chief, William B. Scott, Jr. age 79, passed away peacefully on March 16, 2016 at his home with his wife and daughter near him. Bill was a faithful, loving, and doting father, as well as an affectionate and loyal husband. He retired in 1977 after a distinguished career in the Nuclear Submarine Service. He and his family returned to Fairhope where he established his own company, Bayside Electric Service, and became an endearing member of the hometown he loved. After the passing of his first wife, favor was his when he found an equal and devoted love in Mary Ann. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior on January 17th, 2010. He is preceded in death by wife, Barbara Ann (Beaty) Scott; his parents, William B. Scott, Sr. and Coriel Scott (McLaughlin). He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Mary Ann (Koonce) Scott; son, Brian Scott; daughter, Bethany Scott; stepson, Mike Violette; stepdaughter, Wendy Haynes; two sisters, Ginny Wilson and Maureen McLaughlin; and two brothers, John Scott and Robert Scott. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at Fish River Baptist Church at 6:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Terry Blair. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service. Graveside services with military honors will be rendered Monday, March 21, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Cemetery.
