Gerald Regal

MONROE, Wis. — Gerald James Regal, 46, of Monroe, Wis., formerly of Princeton, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013, at his home in Monroe.

He was born July 14, 1967, in Milwaukee, Wis., to Donald James Ridgway and Judith (Shoop) Holmberg.

He graduated from Princeton High School in 1985. He served in the U.S. Navy for seven years. While in the Navy, he spent most of his time on the USS James Madison. He also worked as a mechanic, while Watsons was in business, in Princeton. The majority of his time was spent as an over-the-road truck driver. He drove for Schneider and Walmart, both for many years. As a truck driver, the only states he did not drive through were Alaska and Hawaii.

Surviving are his two children, Jenna Regal of Princeton and Kyle Regal of Fort Hood, Texas; one grandson, Logan Hand; his mother, Judith Holmberg of Henry; six siblings, Debbie (Don) Foley of Henry, Glenda Spaulding of Indiana, Darren (Brenda) Holmberg of Bradford, Jennifer (Eric) Rebholzof of Chillicothe, Cheryl (Doug) Hurley of Manlius and Pam Holmberg of the state of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
