Karl Edwin Humbertson

HUMBERTSON, Karl Edwin, 77, of North Charleston SC, entered into eternal
rest on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. He was born in Coshocton OH on December
26, 1937 to the late Ernest and Gladys Humbertson. He served his country
for 22 years in the United States Navy and retired as Chief Petty Officer,
submariner. He was a member of Hammerton Lodge #332, Scottish Rite of Free
Masonry, Omar Temple, Dorchester Shrine Club, American Legion Post 166, VFW
Post 10624, FRA Branch 269, and DAV Chapter 17. He was a bonded locksmith
and worked for the Charleston County School District as a locksmith for 11
years. Karl is survived by his sons, Karl "Butch" Humbertson (Gayle) of
Summerville SC, Ernest "Bubba" Humbertson (Christi) of Lexington SC, and
Donald "Donnie" Humbertson of Washington State; grandchildren, Tia
Humbertson of FL, Nicole H. Outlaw (Matthew) of St Matthews SC, Trevar
Humbertson of Summerville SC, Cody Humbertson of Lexington SC, Emily
Humbertson of Summerville SC, Ryan Tidwell of Beaufort SC, and Kerri Bell
of Chapin SC; great grandchildren, Maci, Caroline, Mason, Bailey, Haven,
and Miranda; brother, Ken Humbertson (Lorna) of St Louis MO; sister: Freda
Cooper of West Lafayette OH. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50
years, Rose Marie Humbertson; and his grandson: Karl Humbertson III.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at
Carolina Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston SC,
29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will
receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 24, 2014 at the
funeral home. The family is gratefully accepting flowers in honor of Karl
