Clifton Ray Jackson Rest Your Oars

Post by Jeff Mathes »

Clifton was one of my Facebook friends. He passed away this month. We were shipmates on USS JAMES MADISON (SSBN 627) during the shipyard period in Newport News from '79 to '82. Clifton started out as a Missile Technician but shipped over to convert to Fire Control Technician (Ballistic). He was big man physically. He was a good friend to all who knew him. He was a man of easy going demeanor. He was always there for those who needed help. He was my friend. I will miss him. Peace be with you Clifton.
