Sadly, JJ as we knew him on the blue crew, lost his valiant fight with Lung Cancer and crossed the bar today. We will post more info as soon as we have it. JJ would always keep in touch and hated not being able to come to the reunions.

James T. Johnson's Funeral Arrangements
There will be a visitation on Sunday evening from 5:30 until 8:00. The funeral will be at 11:30 on Monday, December 21st. The Funeral Home is Moore's Funeral Home on Hardy Street in Hattiesbburg, Mississippi.
Per Jimmie's request, all SubVets should wear their vests.

HATTIESBURG - Services were Dec. 21 at Moore Funeral Chapel in Hattiesburg for James "J.J." Johnson, 71, of Hattiesburg, who died Dec. 18, 2009, at his home.
Burial was in Highland Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson retired after 15 years with the U.S. Post Office. He retired from the U.S. Navy and was a member of Enlisted Retirement Association. He was a member of Lincoln Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jocelyn "Jo" Johnson of Hattiesburg; a son, John "Tim" Fillingame of Petal; two sisters, Shirley Kirk of Durant, Iowa; and Judy Mason of Moline, Ill.; two brothers, Larry Cozine of Adelboro, Mass., and Gary Cozine of New York; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Iva Johnson.
