Nuc MM Question

Post by Keith Holman »

There was a white lubricant we used on o-rings. It was not petroleum based to avoid dissolving the o-ring.

What was it? Is it commercially available?

Our slang term was "boy butter" but it was actually silicone grease which can be found in plumbing stores. I also used it to lubricate the car door gaskets in the winter to keep them from sticking especially after a freezing rain but now use the spray silicone grease from the auto parts store. The spray is also good to keep your snow blower from plugging up.

Thanks, Chip.

I knew the slang term but didn't feel up to walking into the local shop and asking for it that way!
