New Submariner Book Available

Post by ELT627 »

Some of you may know Ron "Warshot" Smith, author of Torpedoman. Ron is a WWII Subvet who endured 360 something depth charges on the USS Seal and came home to tell about it. He and Flint Whitlock have issued a new book, "The Depths of Courage", American Submariners at War with Japan, 1941-1945.

Big Al Konetzni Com subpac 1998-201 wrote in the foreward
"The Depths of Courage" has had a profound effect on me. It pushed me to rededicate myself to ensuring that our great nation understands that today we are rapidly moving toward an inadequate submarine force."

This is a must read for all who have served in the Submarine Service and you will admire even more the men of the Silent Service who fought and won the war against Japan.
