Mystic Pancho Recipe

Post by Keith Holman » Mon Jun 25, 2007 9:23 pm

During the time of the 2007 Reunion, 2 association members found themselves at the bar (imagine that) of the Mystic Pizza of movie fame.

A discussion ensued with one of the employees about buying a Mystic Pizza Pancho. It was never clear exactly what that was or whether it was even legal in Connecticut but later that same evening a new drink was discovered/invented which shall henceforth be known as a Mystic Poncho.

To make a Mystic Poncho, you take a 6-8 ounce glass and place ice cubes in it. Then mix approximately equal proportions of Sprite and Mango-flavored rum. Top it off with a dash of raspberry flavored rum for flavoring.

The Mystic Poncho goes down easy but packs a punch. It might be classified as another fruity rum drink but requires no paper umbrellas. Besides, real men probably don't drink fruity rum drinks any more than they eat quiche!

There is talk of a companion drink to be called the Mystic Parka which will possibly involve banana flavored rum with a splash of coconut.

You are too funny!!

Good thing there weren't 2 fifths of mango rum- they were going down way too easy.

The banana rum brings to mind several possibilities beyond coconut: strawberry or a splash of chocolate or both. Hmmmmmm.......
