Sorry I haven't been too active here. Jeff Sloan, A-Gang Blue from '80 to '85. After the yards (and hydraulic lunches) stood Aux Aft and AMR1. As for memories...don't think I should write most of them even tho' they were mostly fun. Yet another yardbird I don't remember. Jeez I'm gettin' senile.......

Re: Enough, guys! Who's here?

Hi all. I guess I'm one of the guilty. I'm Florian (Murph) Folger an A-ganger that came to the boat in June '80 while we were in Newport News. At sea, I was on the Blue Crew and primarily stood AMR #1 with Bob Wright and Bill Hemmelgarn (but there were a few other A-Gangers that were qualified and ...

I ride my V-Star most everywhere. Tried to get my wife one, but she prefers to ride with me. This pic is from awhile ago, but I don't have many recent pics. Since this photo, I've added lights and a few other things. Nice bike Jeff. I looked at a Yami a few weeks ago (not seriously, just killing ti...

If our all-knowing, incredibly wise govt doesn't classify the info, I think we should post it, but with protection for the "listees".

I check in several times per week to see who's posting what and there had been a spell of no or few messages. Today I took a look at the members list and realized that a lot of folks are still practicing stealth tactics, i.e., signing up but not saying anything! Speak up! Declare yourself! Let some...

Hi Cliff, and welcome! I did some serious drooling on the '05 Nomad, the dark blue and silver, but decided I wasn't ready for that much geezer factor  . Inserting a pic isn't too difficult if you have an online photo album. Check this out http://www.ussjamesmadison627.com/viewtopic.php?t=179 I...

Ok y'all, I'm gonna try to link to a photobucket.com album for a couple of pics. Keeping in mind that computers hate me, here goes: This is my '04 Kawasaki 1500 Classic with new pipes, breather, handlebar risers, run/brake/turn signals with clear lenses, hard bags, and more. http://i4.photobucket.co...

Re: Correction on the date

I served on the Madison from 1988 until 1992 (not 1899 as previously posted) most would have figured it out, but I did not want to confuse the nukes Thanks for dumbing it down for me :D !! And what's up in Singapore? Is that an occupation? Or your location, and how'd you end up there? I know a guy ...

Thanks Grady! We've been working our butts off making it a home rather than a new house. We've finished the first (of many, I sure!) rennovation, and with the cooler weather coming, I'll be spending more time outside hacking down more trees/bushes. I've been thinking of renting a bobcat, bulldozing ...

Re: Rich, what is your major malfunction ?

Rich, thanks for the pic, bored in Mexico and surfing the messages, What a bike ! Drive safe and look out for bad car drivers. During my interesting years in Charleston I remember saying once to myself, in a year I'll be either married or consoling myself on a hog (the motorcycle kind, you perverts...

Very nice!! I looked at that one, love the candy red. Short history: bought a new '03 Kawasaki 800 Classic from a dealer going out of business in Apr '04. Traded up to a '04 Kaw 1500 Classic in March '05 (that's when I seriously considered the 1300). In the winter '06, I changed pipes, rejetted the ...
