Scorpion Down

Just finished reading an interesting book on the SCORPION sinking. The premise is that the Russians sank her. It reads a bit like a conspiracy theory book but it does attempt to connect some dots. Anyone else read this book or have any thoughts on it? There was a comment in the book about MADISON go...

I left MADISON in Sept 1992 while the decomm/defueling was well underway. The actual decomm was performed at Mare Island. My understanding is that the RC and hull was shipped elsewhere, but that was after my time.

Actually, the whole thing was a little sad, and fairly unceremoneous.

He is transferring sometime in the near future to a new billet, although I can't remember the exact date. He's a great guy. If you have a chance, it mig...

I didn't mean to suggest that6 patrols was more than many had. I know of several who have more. Maybe that is the best way to count...who had the most patrols on MADISON? Surely someone had more than 7. Another question is what was the longest patrol? I had a few that seemed to last 1000 days, but w...

Time on the Pond on MADISON

I'm kind of curious on who may claim the fame for having the most time on MADISON while underway.

I personally had 6 patrols and an interfleet tranfer on MADISON. Can anyone top that? I bet that Chief Gomez has more.
